What is RASFF?The rapid alert system for food and feed (RASFF) is a concrete framework of legislations implemented by the European Union to ensure the safety and standard of the food for consumption (Fuentes, 2017). The RASFF works to detect potential risks rising in the food chain. The Rapid alert system for food and feed (RASFF) was established in 1979 to share important information regarding food health between the members of the RASFF (Kowalska & Manning, 2020). The department has been working round-the-clock to ensure European consumers' safety; it has been doing efficiently to avert the potential hazard before its eruption (Kowalska, A., & Manning, 2021). The RASFF publishes its official journal to give a brief insight into the ongoing activities and potential threats to inform the European consumers and authorities biased by type of food, country, and potential hazard (BVL - Overview of European rapid alert system RASFF, 2021). The RASFF also function through their official portal. The official portal provides a comprehensive online database, aims to summarise recent most transmission of RASFF notifications and the information of threats occurred in the past (Owolabi & Olayinka, 2021). The first excess to the portal was provided to the concerned individuals from June 2014 (RASFF - Food and Feed Safety Alerts - Food Safety - European Commission, 2021). The portal aimed to deliver transparent information to the European consumers, authorities and relevant business across the globe.
