Biopsychosocial Paper

Students will conduct a biopsychosocial analysis of a person they know. Students will write a theoretical analysis of the person’s development and behavior across the lifecourses (childhood and infancy, adolescence, young and middle adulthood, late adulthood). Students will discuss how each life course (childhood and infancy, adolescence, young and middle adulthood, and late adulthood have impacted the life of the person. For each stage discussed identify for turning points or major life changes that has impacted their human development (i.e., moving to a new state, getting married, illness, death, birth, experiences of discrimination)

Erickson’s Psychosocial Theory

Feminist Theory

Piaget’s Cognitive Theory

Ethnic Identity Theories, i.e., Afrocentric/Afrocentric Theory

Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory

Systems Theory

Note: For each section, place headings within the paper.

The following writing assignment must characterize particular issues, concepts or specific content related to social work.

The paper must be at least 5 pages not including the title page, an abstract, and one reference page.

The paper must have at least 5 references. Students are required to relate information provided in the paper to content covered in the book, journal articles, reports, and websites (classroom handouts, journal articles, websites or the course textbook may be included among the references

Omit use of Wikipedia, encyclopedias, and dictionaries.

Incomplete assignments or non-participation will result in 0%.
