1.Problems identified;There
are various problems identified in the SuperNova Microcomputer, including the
application of the wrong leadership style (authoritative leadership), leading
to employee demotivation and hindering innovations and creativity. Another
problem is ineffective communication (Johnson). Sam Lowell states that the team
members must know that the project needs to catch up to the established
schedule. Employee dissatisfaction is portrayed when employees say they are
willing to produce the best product but are not allowed to make decisions and
be creative (Johnson). Hence the main problems in the case study are employee
dissatisfaction, ineffective communication, and authoritative leadership.
