Think about
values that represent you.
These need to be values with
meaningful averages (most discrete or continuous values will work) Think about
your height, weight, IQ, GPA, # of hours you study, ( 8-10 hours every week) #
of credits you are carrying, # of credits you have earned ( I did earn 30
credits in 5 months), salary, rent / mortgage... the list goes on! Now think
about yourself in terms of the population of the same age or gender.
1. Give a unit of measurement
about yourself where there should be a very small standard deviation for the
overall population (you must include what you are considering as your
population) and explain why.
2. Give a unit of measurement
about yourself where there should be a very large standard deviation for the
overall population and explain why.
3. Share (and explain) one measurement about yourself that might be considered an outlier. Include website links and use APA formatting for your reference. The website doesn't have to include the standard deviation, but it would be helpful if it included a range of "normal" low and high.
