This assessment requires you to demonstrate your understanding of some of the concepts covered in this topic including power, the past and present history of colonisation, white privilege, racism, decolonisation and culturally responsiveness and begin thinking about their implications for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples and social work practice.
Your use of language is very important, so please be very aware when preparing assessments. Present an argument about why it is important to use culturally informed and developed knowledge. Ensure that you integrate engagement/relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, for example (but not exclusive to), practicing cultural responsiveness, self-awareness, and by decolonising social work practice.
