here.” Proserpina said to King Pluto. After Ceres gave Proserpina the
revelation of the pomegranate seeds, she started having expectations to live
her life with King Pluto. However, she didn't realize the bond she would
develop with her captor. In the year that followed, the king's obsession with
her was evident when his chariot came to Proserpina's house in search of her
and her mother. "Don't separate me from my mother, oh mighty king,"
she cried. Finally, the king swore that harm would befall Proserpina's mother
if she fought further.
