paper is a response to the guidelines below: Guidelines for the Week 2 HBR
Position Paper: In each of the HBR articles listed below, identify the main
theme of the article and discus how that theme or idea would positively impact
and strengthen the experience of inclusion for any individual. Also describe
how the approach to inclusion identified in each article would help an
organization eliminate an employee’s experience of isolation or
disenfranchisement.

Brown (2018), in the article,
“To Retain
Employees, Focus on Inclusion — Not Just Diversity,” explores the subject inclusion
ways organization can promote their understanding of the employees. The
organizations need to understand who their employees really are to promote
inclusion. Surveys and other data collection approaches can help organizations
to understand their employees. Organizations can “segment employee engagement
survey results by minority groups,” “use independent facilitators to conduct
focus groups,” and/or “get personal in one-on-one discussions” to collect
information that can help them to understand and retain their employees.
