Overview:
This journal assignment is an outline of the scanning section of the SARA
report in the final project. Throughout the course, you will use the journal
tool as a place where you can reflect on your plan for different sections of
the final project in an outline form and then receive feedback from your
instructor. Journal assignments are private between you and your instructor.
You will use the journal outlines to create the related elements of the final
project, and you will need to build on your work in the journal assignments and
integrate feedback as you complete your milestones and final project.

assignment, you will select a geographic region to focus on, identify the
relevant fusion center in that area, and explore the terrorist organizations
that pose a significant threat to that region. You may find it helpful to review
the National Terrorism Center’s list of terrorist groups and fusion center
locations. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed: ?
Fusion Center: Indicate the regional fusion center that you
selected. ? Terrorist Organizations: Identify the international or domestic

Terrorist Threats: List the terrorist threats that concern your selected fusion center based on the terrorist organizations you identified. ? The geographical area relevant to the study is
Kenya, and its fusion center gets based in the capital city of the country,
Nairobi, known as The East Africa
Anti-Terror Intelligence Fusion Cells. The fusion center provides
appropriate information on the steps to counter violent extremism and protect
the country from terrorist activities. The main activities of the fusion
centers get established by gathering, analyzing, and sharing information that
gets defined as a threat. The security concerns affecting the East Africa Anti-Terror Intelligence Fusion
Cells manifest by the terrorist activities of the Al-Shabaab terrorist
group. Al-Shabaab instigates terror activities under the facade of jihadism (Sempijja & Nkosi, 2019).
