Russia, Ukraine, and U.S. conflicts

The U.S. provides arms and money to Ukraine to help them fight Russia. But the U.S. should not supply weapons unless they are effective and will be used by Ukraine. The U.S. will try to train them to be more effective in fighting the Russians, but it won't help them if their equipment and training are useless. The U.S. must show that its weapons and money can be used for good. Otherwise, it could create more conflict between America and Russia.

The assumptions;The article talks about the U.S.'s assumptions in supporting the Ukrainian government, which include: The U.S. is willing to deal with neighboring countries that have different political systems than the U.S., including Russia, which is considered a hostile country to the U.S (Seligman, 2022). The U.S. is willing to support the Ukrainian government financially, but U.S. military resources are limited, and the U.S. must use these resources wisely to support the government of Ukraine. It also states that the U.S. is willing to support the Ukrainian government militarily but is worried that the Ukrainian government may not be able to provide the security they want or cause more problems than it can handle (Welt, 2019).  And lastly, it says that Ukraine needs weapons or military equipment to help them against Russian troops and tanks. This assumption is a good starting point to start the analysis.
