Individually, you will prepare for the
cases using a modified format Case Study Analysis. Use this modified format:
1. Primary Issue.
2. Secondary Issue(s).
3. Decision Makers.
4. Influential Groups/Individuals.
5. Answers to Case Questions. You will submit your Case
Study Analysis. These must be submitted in a Microsoft Word document. Your
answers do not have to be elaborately prepared. I am not looking for exhaustive
analyses, but I am looking for thoughtful preparation of each case. These are
graded on the following criteria:
•
Meets Expectations
• Needs Improvement
(If any of the sections are missing or poorly done, then you receive a Needs
Improvement.) Correct answers are not required--only thoughtful responses to
each question).
• For each Needs
Improvement, lose ½ grade for this portion of the grading criteria (e.g.,
from A to A-).
• An example is
available on CANVAS in this Module. You will submit a Case Study Analysis for
Case 2.1 in
IEA. Use your answers to questions on p. 28 to support your analysis. You must
include a reference/citation which can be the textbook.
In the education field, inclusivity
has always been a challenge. In Pleasant View School, the lack of inclusivity
has affected the learning outcomes of disabled children. Although the school
has a special needs education curriculum, it does little to support the
learning needs of different disabled children. Therefore, increasing the training
of students and teachers in Pleasant View School will foster inclusivity which
in turn will improve the learning outcomes of every disabled child in the
school. This essay will discuss the issues highlighted both primary and
secondary, the key decision-makers, and the influential groups present, and
answer the case study questions.
