■ I chose this program because I want to do more to help to save lives. I have provided a direct patient care in OR for the pass decade and I want to expand ny teritory by upgrading myself and get more knowledge on what I love to do.

In the next five years, if all things being equal I will be done with my academic work and start working with my chosen profession or open my own business.

The Five interesting I can share about Atlanta, Georgia are:

• The Atlanta Airport houses art exibits

• The fastest baseball game in history was played in Atlanta

Georgia's State Capitol glistens with 43 ounces of gold

Heather Blackburn

Yesterday

Good morning,

Hello, my name is Heather Blackburn.

I am enrolled in the pre-pharmacy program.

I have worked in a pharmacy for 27 years. I worked in a hospital pharmacy for 4 years and a retail pharmacy for the past 23 years. I figured it was time to go back to school since my children are all grown.

In 5 years I see myself as a licensed pharmacist working in the pharmacy I currently work at.

I live just south of Elkhart, KS, in the Panhandle of Oklahoma.

• Elkhart is really not that interesting!

-There is a marker 8 miles west where you can stand in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado all at the same time.

-We are 10 miles south of the 3rd highest point in the state of Kansas known as the Point of Rocks.

-Glenn Cunningham is from Elkhart, he held the world record for the 1-mile run and is a silver medalist from the 1936 Olympics.

-The special teams coach for the Cincinnati Bengals is from here as well, Darrin Simmons.

-This was home to Walter Baker, another Olympic winner.

Will be great getting to know you all!

Jashire Levier

Yesterday

My name is Jashire Levier, I currently reside in Beaumont, Texas. I have a 4 year old son and I am also currently pregnant and I'm due October 2. I am enrolled in My Bachelors of Science in Health Science Program. My preferred learning style would be solitary also known as intrapersonal. Honestly, i would prefer to work by myself. In some cases I don't mind doing group work, but a lot of times even then, I find myself drifting away from everyone and still doing my own thing. Me going to school online is very beneficial to me because I can literally teach myself everything I need to know as long as I have all of the materials needed in front of me.i have a tendency of writing down and printing everything out. So, for example after finishing a test I would print it out and go over the questions I got wrong and try to get an explanation as of why it was wrong. I would also take those quizzes and tests that i had already completed, and use them to study. I write lots of notes and I make sure I color code all of my information especially if its something really important.

I prefer combination of Read/Write and Kinesthetic. As a Read/Write learner, I enjoy reading and writing, especially words with interesting meanings and backgrounds. I prefer written texts with bullet points and numbered paragraphs. When I listen to lectures, I write down and sort things out in my own words. As a Kinesthetic learner, I prefer using my own experiences and real things in life. I learn by trial and error, using all my senses to finish the tasks. And I prefer participating in group activities and interacting with teachers and students for the courses. To stay on top of all the assignments, I always set a weekly study schedule and get assignments done early before the due dates. To learn from the mistakes on the assignments from this course, I make seperate sheets to write down wrong answers and corrections with explanations by reviewing previous examples or reading a textbook. Also, I can ask for better approach for the question by asking help to tutors, friends, or professor.

Hi George, it’s a pleasure to know you will be part of this class. We share a similar passion for positively impacting people’s life. It’s interesting to learn that Atlant has significantly contributed to the ballet industry by instructing ballerinas for all those years. I hope we interact more as we progress with the course.
