Hello Class and Professor,
Nice to meet everyone. My name
is Nicol, I am in the BS program for Criminal Justice. I am currently living in
New Mexico with my partner. His job keeps us moving around plus we love to
travel. Between the two of us, there are five children, three boys ages 27,
forever 26, and 13, and two girls 15 and 29 between her and her husband they
have given us five grandchildren, three girls 16, 7, and 5, and two boys 14 and
4. All the kids and grandkids live in Upstate NY. I have lived in Upstate NY,
where I am originally from, TX, where I grew up, FL, SC, and now here in NM. It
has been over 20 years since I have been in school and it had been a challenge,
but I have enjoyed it thus far. I just completed algebra and now I am going
into my fourth semester and getting ready to tackle this math class. Best
wishes to all in this class. :)

Hello all, my name is Paige,
and I am from Clarksville TN. I have three little boys ages 6, 5, and almost 2
with the 2-year-old being a medically complex child. This is actually my second
time taking this class so that's intimidating in itself. But having just come
out of the class I know what to expect and what areas I need to give myself
more time to work with. I also learned it would greatly benefit me to take
notes and write it all out vs trying to do the math in my head.
Kari Ullman
Monday
Hello Professor and Class!
My name is Kari Ullman and I
am married and have 10 children and 11 grandchildren. I currently work as a
full-time 911 Dispatcher and this will be my 23rd year and I also work (casual)
as a CNA in Women's Health to help gain some experience. I decided this past
year to go back to school to get my Bachelor's in Nursing. I will be completing
my Associates in Pre-Nursing at South College in May 2023 and will then be
enrolled in the Accelerated Bachelors of Nursing at one of our local colleges.
I love spending time with my husband (my high school sweetheart) and we will be
celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary in February, and our children.
In 5 years, I will be
completed with schooling and am hoping to retire as a traveling nurse. We will
only have 1 child that will be under the age of 18 that will be left at home.
My (2) goals for this class
are:
To learn more about the
importance of good nutrition for different ages
To better understand how the
nutritional value of things work

Shekynah White

Hello professor and
classmates,
My name is Shekynah, but I
like to go by "Star," which is the name my grandmother gave me. I am
majoring in the pre-nursing program with an expected graduation date of May. I
hope to one day soon become a registered nurse can't say when I grow up because
I consider myself already grown up, but I still have some living to do at my
age. About ten years from now, I hope to be a travel registered nurse or maybe
just maybe become a nurse practitioner. Honestly, I have my options open. If I
had to choose a favorite tv show, it would be Law and order special victims
SVU. I swear I can watch the episodes over and over. Where I grew up and am
from is in a small town called Jackson, Ga; not many know where that is; it's
like 45 mins from Atlanta. Something that makes me unique and stands out is
that I'm a 25-year mother with two kids, married, working a full-time job, and
going to school full time. I also will be the first to graduate college in my
family. Lastly, I am an interpreter that sells cake jars, and hopefully, one
day, it will blossom into something big.

Hello Nicol,
Pleasure meeting you. Thank

this math class will be a stepping stone to achieving your goals in life.
Moreover, it’s inspirational to see someone taking up another course or class
that will benefit their career and life; congratulations. Taking up the math
class is encouraging despite it being 20 years. Congratulations on finalizing
the algebra topic, and as you begin your fourth semester, I wish you all the
best and that you will be able to take forward the next class.
