Personal Narrative: Physician Assistant

Your first essay, the Personal Career Narrative, is the focus of the first four weeks of class. Using a process-approach to this assignment, you will investigate your future career in the Occupational Outlook Handbook (the OOH). Using this information, you will connect details about the field to your own life, telling us who you are, why you are perusing your chosen field, and what you hope to achieve in this occupation. All instructional material for this essay is included in Realizeit modules 1-4.Remember that a narrative is a story, and so readers should get a sense of who you are in this essay. Additionally, by using the OOH, readers should also learn about your chosen field. Finally, they should have a clear sense as to why you are a good fit for this career.

Requirements:

.•5 full paragraphs including:

.•The introduction - Where have I been?

•Body paragraphs (3) - Why did I choose this career?

•The conclusion - Yes, I am going in the right direction!

APA style, including in-text citations, the title page, reference page, and all formatting (double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font, indented paragraphs, and page numbers).

• At least one direct quote, properly formatted using APA style for an in-text citation.

• Demonstrated revision between Draft 1 and Draft 2. This self-assessment is a helpful tool during revision.
