Although most organizations strive to enhance equality in the workplace, there are still disparities in job opportunities and compensation.  Research indicates that there is still underrepresentation among women at different levels, with women of color being the most vulnerable.  Thus, organizations should employ techniques such as embracing diversity, establishing fair compensation procedures/ promotion, offering support, and inclusion in training to mitgate disparities.

There are various strategies that organizations can use to mitigate gender disparities in job opportunities and compensation.  First, the organization should enhance diversity in the recruitment procedure by ensuring that the job descriptions are inclusive and that the interviews are fair and free of bias (Lin et al., 2021).  Also, the compensation process should be transparent and equitable, where employees doing the same job get the same remuneration regardless of gender.  Organizations should also offer supportive and flexible employee benefits, such as childcare access and flexible work schedule to avoid exhaustion, burnout, and stress, as women are more vulnerable (Lin et al., 2021).  In addition, organizations should include all employees in training programs irrespective of gender to enhance their expertise to have equal chances of promotion and pay.  Therefore, establishing a culture that enhances diversity and equality helps in giving women a chance to portray their talent, expertise, and creative thinking to enhance the organization's performance rather than being gender biased (Lin et al., 2021).  Although there has been positive progress in enhancing equality in the workplace, there still exists disparity in job opportunities and compensation.  Thus, organizations should establish a transparent and equitable compensation system, offer equal opportunities for training and promotion and offer support and flexible work schedules to accommodate women.
