Ministerial Briefing Note

I‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍n this assignment, you have to write a briefing note to a minister on your chosen policy issue, Housing Affordability in Australia. You can choose to write from the perspective of the minister's department or an advocacy organisation/interest group. Note that briefings by public servants and advocates contain many similar elements, so the same marking criteria apply. Make sure you are clear to state the agency or organisation that you are representing. Also, make sure you make clear to whom you are writing the briefing note. Make sure that you are aware of the differences between federal and state levels. I suggest to focus on just one. Briefing notes tend not to have many references. Nevertheless, if you cite some author, report, or statistics that are not yours, you must make the reference. I do not have a preference over which reference style you use as long as you are consistent with it and‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍ construct the references appropriately. It is very important that you are able to apply the NATO framework. This means that you will have to research about "nodality" (information); "authority" (regulations and legislations); "treasure" (budgets and grants from the government); and "organisations" (mention which agencies and organisations relate to your policy issue). I am not looking at an explanaition of the NATO framework, but an appropriate implementation of the concepts that we have studies over the last 5 weeks. The recommendations (point 7) can be real recommendations that you have read and creative ones that you can make up. Do not recommend solutions that are already implemented by the government. Remember, if the recommendation is not your own idea, you have to make the reference. You can also build up from a recommendation that you may have encountered‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍.
