In your assigned reading
the philosopher Alain de Botton briefly describes
the way that a building
"speaks" to us. Please
select a building you have recent experience entering and interacting with. What does the building "say" to
you?
Please use specific
visual details. Color? Lighting? Use of materials? How would you describe
the building's style? Do you think
the building is successfully communicating it's intended message? Or did your received experience depart
from the building's intentions?
I as of late entered a cutting-edge craftsmanship
historical center in the core of the city. The structure, essentially built
with glass and steel, presents a striking differentiation to the encompassing
notable design. The historical center's outside is a consistent mix of
straightforwardness and reflection, permitting regular light to flood the
inside and giving looks at the cityscape from the inside. The selection of
materials, glass, and steel, mirrors a feeling of contemporary refinement and
development.
