● Question #1: Since the 1970s, some Americans have criticized the"traditional" family, while others have sought to protect it. Who has portrayed the family in these ways, and how did these understandings of the family shape American politics in the late-20th century?
●Question #2: Politicians and activists have used "home" and the domestic sphere as powerful tools in a range of political battles and social movements since the 1970s. Referencing at least three battles, campaigns, or movements explain how "home" has functioned as a symbol in American politics and culture.

Question #1: The Japanese were compared to the Chinese and were deemed to be low-class prostitutes. Japanese women were compared to Chinese women. Japanese women maintained high-grade personal hygiene and their general outlook, had their hands and feet manicured daily whereas the Chinese never washed, and slept on top of each other with rice scattered on the floor. They were also involved in risky behaviors such as smoking and gambling. [i]Japanese represented various national events that projected its explicit culture that was surrounded by beauty and serenity exemplified by their fine art and tea ceremony and attractive gardens. Chinese value the traditional family and are still practicing it to date because of the well-arranged dynamics that were portrayed in the traditional family setting as the woman being the bearer of children while the man is the provider. [ii]The exploitation of the Japanese traditional culture identified the Chinese to be part of the explicit culture. Japan was considered to be a modernized nation while china was not yet verified as one. Europe depended heavily on Greece and Rome as the primary components that assisted in its civilization.
