College admission Essay

One of the things that has made me surprisingly happy and grateful is that my language arts instructor has gone above and beyond to help me improve my grades. Like most students, language arts was one of the subjects I found most challenging, and I could never grasp its concepts adequately. I was an average student and got remarkable grades in all my other subjects except language arts. I tried getting a peer study partner, participating in group work, doing extra work, and spending more time in the library, but none of these techniques improved my performance. After every exam, my grade either remained the same or dropped. I then decided to take up my teacher's offer of “If anyone of you has any problems, you can come see me personally to discuss it,” which was a statement she often used to end her lessons.
