The age of the internet made communication and delivery of information easier. However, it also brought about the spread of false and inaccurate information. Therefore, it is essential to investigate the credibility of sources of information to prevent the spread of false information. The article on climate change and internet blogs provides a classic example of how false information can spread, influencing the public's attitude toward life issues. Different criteria can be applied to determine the credibility of sources. One major way is to conduct a frame analysis of the information to determine its depth (Harvey et al., 2018). Frame analysis can be used to assess the context used by the blog and the evidence it provides. An inaccurate blog manipulates data to represent its argument. Denier blogs lack context and misinterpret the examples provided. A denier blog focuses on observations that would give a contradicting analysis if taken out of context. While doing frame analysis, it is important to ensure the source provides physical evidence and empirical records (Harvey et al., 2018). Denier blogs lack the bulk of evidence and are vague and shallow. Arguments on denier blogs do not have substantial evidence to justify their claims. Hence a frame analysis helps identify genuine and credible sources.
