Public administration, a
career strongly related to sociology, has a reasonably gender-neutral
distribution of professionals. The field of public administration exhibits
gender-neutral distribution, but data show that despite the fact that women
make up nearly half of the workforce, they earn significantly less than their
male counterparts, emphasizing the need for fair pay and gender equality in the
industry.
