Answer
the following questions: Critically discuss approaches for ensuring fair and
equal access to (either) health / education / employment for those people in
poor and vulnerable situations?
1.1 Critical analysis of the issue (400 words) The critical analysis is a 400-word critical literature review based on in depth use of selected readings from this week’s TRP. You should show what is important to you by how you use your references rather than expressing your own opinion directly. We are looking for depth of understanding. We recommend four TRP readings as a minimum. Thinking about what can go wrong (for example the impact on people of modern slavery) as well as the best practice you have learned through your study can help you think through your answer. Remember that including evidence from the best practice case studies included within the teaching can help you support the point you are making.
1.2 Current Status How does your organisation currently respond to this issue? (75 words)
1.3 Recommendations Use extended bullet points to outline your top three recommendations for your organisation. Based on your learning this week, what could your organisation do to improve its practice? Your recommendations should include specific actions, and be referenced to specific ideas from your learning. Try to include positive ideas for change rather than just doing less harm. You should reference the specific source of your ideas from the learning (150 words in total) Please Note: Use Only the references provided.
1.Critical Analysis of
the Issue.Health is a significant component that makes up an individual’s life.
Despite this, individuals in poor and vulnerable situations often face barriers
and systemic inequalities that hinder their access to essential healthcare
services. The article by Brancalion et al. (2020) highlights the strong link
between deforestation, habitat destruction, and zoonotic diseases such as
COVID-19. It is highlighted in the article that deforestation and wildlife
trade increases human-wildlife interactions, hence facilitating the spill-over
of pathogens to human beings. Additionally, due to the increased rate of
deforestation, there has been an increased outbreak of zoonotic diseases such as
COVID-19, which has led to an increase in healthcare disparities that have
affected people in poor and vulnerable situations (Tollefson, 2020).
