The Cleveland Clinic is in its
early stages of popularizing the population's health care needs. Therefore, the
clinic focused on getting details of the patients at high risk and those that
require various healthcare resources (Russa, 2020). The clinic's main aim for
enhancing population health is to enlighten the patients on healthy living to
enhance their well-being and healthcare outcomes. Therefore, it is important to
address the health problems affecting a particular population to mitigate
health disparities by conducting surveys, interviews, and focus groups to
identify the health issues and offer appropriate health living guidelines,
enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality healthcare services.
Various factors contribute to
health issues, including malnutrition, racism, unemployment, poverty, and
discrimination. Therefore, addressing the various population health issues
could help in advancing treatment outcomes, offering care at affordable prices,
and enhancing patient coordination and engagement (BeLue, Davis, & Dix,
2021). It could also help healthcare professionals understand the healthcare
needs of the overlooked patients in the community, help in designing better and
patient-based services, and enhance the utilization of available resources to
prevent healthcare problems (BeLue, Davis, & Dix, 2021). However, to find
out the population's health issues, one could interview various focus groups
and leaders in the community, conduct surveys to ascertain the population's
health condition or use health data for the target population groups (center
for rural health, 2022). However, the healthcare administration could address
the various underlying population health issues by encouraging physical exercise,
offering health education services to enhance health literacy, and enhancing
healthcare accessibility (Waad, 2019). Therefore, healthcare administration
must first find the population health issues through surveys, interviews, and
considering health data to offer the appropriate intervention through health
education programs and better healthcare services.
