I
will upload on three documents two are from groups 1 and 2 who this response
will be for. The third document is my group post to be able to compare as in
below instructions. For individual responses for this board, please
individually review the collaborative post by at least two groups.
1.Consider how your
approach to the crisis will impact their discipline.
2.What information would you
need to convey to other groups regarding your solution and how would you
approach the necessary information sharing and collaborative efforts between
disciplines/roles to best solve the opioid crisis?
3.What might your groups'
solutions contribute to other groups in order to work collectively to solve the
opioid crisis? Be sure and actively respond to replies to your group's initial
posting.
Opioid abuse is an epidemic in
the United States. An opioid is a drug used for pain relief. However, there is
increased addiction among individuals to opioids which has affected their
wellbeing and performance at work. There is an increased prescription of
opioids for individuals, especially those in the workforce, to help relieve the
pain associated with work-related issues. Such prescriptions have contributed
to the increased opioid abuse among individuals. The increased abuse has
resulted in opioid abuse. Thousands of people have died due to opioid abuse,
hence the need to develop strategies to help deal with the pandemic. Various
strategies have been put across parties to solve this opioid crisis. One of the
main strategies that I believe are the best to overcome this issue is the
systems approach which involves all the stakeholders in the country, that is,
the medical, legislative, education, and business sectors. Through the systems
approach, everyone will be engaged to align and develop systems that bar new
individuals from abusing opioids and facilitate the recovery of the already affected
individuals. Such an approach ensures that it eliminates burnout that may
result among individuals working individually to improve the current opioid
crisis. The rate of progress is diminishing with new individuals' increasing
velocity of the opioid crisis. Thus, the need for a systems approach allows all
stakeholders to work with each collection to solve the crisis.
