Review Assignment Instructions
Overview
To ensure you are basing your healthcare
management practice and/or clinical practice on the most current evidence of
best practices, it is important to use clinical guidelines, as well as conduct
a review of literature in the form of current peer-reviewed journal articles.
In this assignment, you will be choosing a clinical guideline from one of the
sites identified in the below instructions, identifying recommendations from
the guideline, and finding four research articles that support the
recommendations in the guideline. You will also be identifying the purpose,
results, method, design, and other components of each research article. Later
in the term, you will be determining the level of evidence for each of the four
research articles in order to identify the reliability of the research in each
study.

Chose 2 quantitative and 2 qualitative research articles that support the recommendations/advice in the guideline that you chose. (One of the articles may be a mixed method research article.)
· Later in the course, you will be identifying the Levels of Evidence for each article that you chose. Therefore, you need research articles. It would serve you well to look ahead to the instructions for the Levels of Evidence Assignment so that you can ensure that the levels of evidence can be identified in each of the 4 articles as required. Search for your topic and add words like “quantitative”, “qualitative”, “mixed methods”, “systematic review”, randomized control trial, etc.
4.Fill out the Literature Review Template with the information that you identified in each of your 4 articles. Review the template and fill out each section appropriately:

Note: Your assignments will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool. The tool is a starting point for instructors to check overall Academic Integrity and higher scores generally indicate a higher probability of Academic Misconduct. The higher a score the higher the probability that there are too high a percentage of quotations included in the narrative, and/or there are passages that have not been properly cited.

In regards to patient history and physical assessment, when individuals
arrive with a history and physical assessment consistent with an
allergic etiology and one or more of the symptoms listed: nasal obstruction,
runny nose, irritated nose, or sneezing, physicians should establish the
medical assessment of AR. Clear rhinorrhea, nasal obstruction, pale staining

Immunotherapy (subcutaneously or subcutaneous) should be offered, or
referred to a practitioner who can give it, to patients with AR who do not
respond to pharmaceutical treatment with or without environmental
restrictions. |

Particular IgE (skin or blood) allergy testing should be performed and
interpreted by clinicians or referred to a clinician who can conduct and
decipher it for patients with a clinical diagnosis of AR who do not react to
empiric treatment, when the diagnosis is unclear, or when understanding of
the specific causative allergen is required to target therapy. |
