Expert Solution

Identification; What is Tom supposed to perform with the completely approved and abandoned plan?

Decision;Tom's moral course of action is to speak with Mr. Morie and alter the flawed plan. The decision is morally justified based on utilitarianism theory, which states that a morally right action results in the ultimate net utility for all stakeholders. First, Tom will be at peace because his worries about the ecosystem are resolved even though he loses his internship. Secondly, those who depend on fish for a living will not have to walk miles. Thirdly, owners can conduct business effectively and likely not incur losses (Eggleston). Therefore, according to act utilitarianism, the decision results in a net utility for most stakeholders involved as such should be a morally correct decision for Tom.
