Expert Solution

In the American colonies, the system of labor was characterized by indentured servitude, slavery, and wage labor. Slave labor was particularly common in the Southern colonies, where slavers would force African slaves to work on plantations. Many slavers in this region practiced cash crop farming, including the growing of rice, cotton, and tobacco. The northern colonies were characterized by indentured servitude labor, where people would choose to work for a set of specific number of years in exchange for the right to pass to the New World (Smith et al. 2023 Pg. 793). The labor system in Eastern Eurasia varied depending on the time period and the geographic region. For instance, Serfdom was the most popular labor system, particularly where low-class people were bound to the land and under the management of aristocratic landowners.
