Consequentialism is an approach to the right action. With this approach, agents are instructed to outline all the probable actions, including doing nothing. Moreover, this approach is commonly used in resolving ethical dilemmas and focuses on an action's consequences. Consequentialism emphasizes that a moral action is determined by the ability to produce the best overall balance of positive consequences over negative consequences. Despite Consequentialism's merits, it has faced several criticisms, making it an appropriate approach to resolving ethical dilemmas.
