Review
From the article, I have
learned the following;
·
The female population accounts for a market
aggregate almost twice as big as India's and China's population, with annual
sales of over $20 trillion (“The Female Economy”). Companies can therefore make high profits if they learn how to
design and manufacture products that are attractive to women.
· In the U.S., the number of employed women has almost surpassed that of employed men. Yet, women experience difficulty in these working environments since they are paid lesser salaries than men (“The Female Economy”). Additionally, various companies have wrongly represented women and others, failing to produce products that meet women's needs, influencing the popularity of these products among the female population (“The Female Economy”). Women are more likely to spend their money on utilities, including food, fitness, beauty, and apparel, and companies that want to attract more consumers from the female population could focus on better healthcare and financial services (“The Female Economy”).
The following are some of the most preferred brands by women;
L'Oreal is one of the best cosmetics industry based in Paris. It is popular for providing diverse beauty products ranging from skincare, hair care products, makeup, and fragrances. Women prefer products from the company since they are of great quality. Additionally, women with different skin colors and preferences can get products with the best formulas that improve their hair care, skincare, and make up routines.
Levi’s is an apparel company that specializes in denim pants and is common among women. Levi's is popular due to its longevity in terms of the years the company has been in operation and its good reputation during that period. Additionally, the apparel by the company is of high quality, meaning it can last over many years. Though expensive, these factors influence its female market and continual relevance.
