This
is an option to gain back some points and if plan well, it will assist in
getting all the points for your final projects. As you all know by now, knowing
how to cite and reference according to APA formatting is key, especially in
research. Do you understand why? Leedy and Ormrod (2019) give some important
points as to why this is key: "As a rule of thumb, we suggest that you
track down any references you see cited by three or more other
researchers" (p. 67). When you find information you want to include in
your research you want to ensure you and others can track down the information.
Importance of utilizing the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), a permanent number
which is helpful in locating the article in cases where the internet has
changed. Articles written with "such inconsistency points to a careless,
sloppy writer and, a proposal reviewer might think, perhaps an equally
careless and sloppy researcher" (p. 129). Finally, the
authors give great directions on an APA reference list and emphasizes how
reference lists "at the end of your report allows readers to locate and
use the sources you have cited" (p. 380). Assignment: Select 5 articles,
preferably the ones you have utilized throughout the semester and/or the ones
you will be utilizing for your final projects. Create a sample sentence
demonstrating the correct APA citing format for each article utilizing Purdue
