The feeling of being unable to
connect with people outside the military usually makes it hard for the veterans
to get a new job or maintain one. Besides, new jobs may be challenging if they
have to readapt or learn new skills. This situation worsens if the veteran is
suffering from sought of PSTD because he or she will likely experience a loss
of identity, role, and even purpose. If this continues the new jobs, the
veterans may not deliver to their maximum potential, and this may affect their
working relationships with the employers that fail to understand their
situation (Beder, 2016).
