The ability to read is crucial to a child's success in school and their adult lives. Whether or whether an individual learns the ability to read in a language that they utilize and comprehend, be it spoken or sign language, is one of the most crucial factors in determining whether or not the child acquires the strong reading skills that are the basis of all future learning (Billings & Mueller, 2021). Even the most well-thought-out reading programs won't help kids learn to read if they don't understand their teacher's language. This is because much of the learning occurs in people's lives in conversation with others. A child's relationships with their parents, siblings, and other relatives begin at birth and continue throughout life. Later, as the youngster connects with people from this broader circle, the child's learning broadens to include the surrounding area. Learning then persists to grow as the child learns the customs of the local community through interactions with people in the local environment (Billings & Mueller, 2021). Improving children's academic performance in reading necessitates adopting and implementing best practices in the language of teaching.
