ADHD
(Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a disorder of neurodevelopment
that is more common in children. ADHD children are overly active, have trouble
controlling impulsive behavior and paying attention, make caress mistakes, talk
too much, daydream a lot, and have difficulty getting along with others. The three
types of ADHD are primarily combined and inattentive and primarily impulsive
and hyperactive. ADHD is caused by injury to the brain, premature delivery,
exposure to environmental risks, alcohol and tobacco use during pregnancy, and
low birth weight. ADHD diagnosis increases may both harm and potentially
benefit individuals, as it reflects a growing awareness of neurodevelopmental
conditions but also raises concerns about overdiagnosis and potential
overmedication; thus, a balanced approach is essential to provide proper
support without unnecessary medicalization.
