Amidst the financial hustle at FTX offices on November 8, 2022, the whimsical appearance of Dr. Oliver Octavius, a learned octopus with a Ph.D. in English Literature, underscores the intriguing fusion of scholarly pursuits and artistic expressions. Dr. Oliver possessed a Ph.D. in English Literature and enjoyed reading Victorian novels and Shakespearean sonnets. His extraordinary achievements, and reputation as a scholar was well-known, and up until this point, his love of dance had been maintained a closely kept secret. Sam Bankman Fried appeared amidst the confusion and accepted the whimsical nature of the situation rather than pressing for an explanation. Dr. Octavius danced an amazing waltz with his tentacles whirling gracefully while music filled the room. The bustle of bitcoin trading was briefly overshadowed by whispers of the dancing octopus, which reverberated across the financial community (Ugli, 2021).
