Encouragement
is essential in ministry, but if you are not intentional, it may never happen.
This Discussion is designed to help you construct a specific plan for
encouragement into your ministry. Your thread must answer the following
questions:
• How can you incorporate
encouragement to those you lead into your ministry? Make sure that your
response is specific and measurable.
• How can you incorporate encouragement to
those who lead you into your ministry? Make sure that your response is specific
and measurable.
• Identify
one of the entries from Be Encouraged by Ben Gutierrez and explain how this
entry was particularly encouraging to you.
• note: “Your ministry” is not
defined as full-time vocational ministry, nor is it defined as ministry
exclusively in the church. “Your ministry” is defined as anything that you do
for the glory of God and for the advancement of the Gospel. Therefore, everyone
should answer all the questions above. The student will complete one
Discussions for this assignment. The student will post one thread of at least
250-300 words
I can incorporate
encouragement to those I lead into the ministry by using the word of God. The
scripture has various instances where God`s actions were meant to encourage
those people to feel discouraged. The lost son, who had wronged his father
after receiving his inheritance and leaving home to enjoy life, became
discouraged after losing everything he had inherited from his father. He
decided to return home, afraid of his father`s reaction. However, on reaching
home, his father accepted him back and celebrated his return despite the wrongs
he had committed (Gutierrez, 2013). I would use such scripture to encourage my
congregation and show them that we have a forgiving father who does not judge
like human beings. I would encourage them to turn their prayer to God and seek
forgiveness.
