Understanding and identifying pronunciation and grammar errors can aid educators in addressing specific linguistic challenges faced by Ecuadorian students, leading to more effective language instruction and support (Malik, 2020). Some of the errors made are:a) Verb Tenses:Ecuadorian ELL students face challenges due to diferences in grammatical structures between English, and Spanish. For instance, the present simple tense in Spanish and English, shows ongoing actions. However Ecuadorian students may incorrectly use the present simple tense, saying phrases like "I go" instead of "I am going." Another standard error is the overuse of the present perfect tense, such as "I have eat" instead of "I have eaten."
