Describe your specific career aspirations and your reason for pursuing an MBA
Growing up, I was thrilled by
how businesses were run, and I developed an interest in owning and growing a
small business into an international one. This passion motivated me to pursue
an MBA to acquire management knowledge and skills for different industries such
as marketing, healthcare, and financing. By gaining versatile knowledge and
skills, I will be able to manage different businesses and significantly
influence the rapidly growing and changing industry and people's needs
globally. In addition to being passionate about business management, I have
versatile skills in strategic analytical skills, problem solving, team
management, time management, leadership skill, informed decision-making skills,
and professional pragmatism. In addition, I have basic knowledge in portfolio
management, asset management, micro and macroeconomics, marketing strategies,
financial planning, cost accounting, and the security market. With these
skills, pursuing an MBA in financing will grow my knowledge and skills to
thrive in the industry. Thus, studying at Rotterdam University will help me
realize my dreams and thrive in the industry.
Although the MBA course is diverse and could
be applied in different industries, I would like to focus on the financing
industry as the management of finances plays a critical role in enhancing the
success of a business. The proper use and allocation of funds help reduce costs
and maximize the firm's value. My long-term goal is to own and manage multi
businesses globally. However, for the short-term goals, I aspire to secure a
top position as a chief financial officer (CFO) in a nongovernmental organization
(NGO) to help facilitate trade, grow the economy and provide critical services
to enhance the communities well-being. However, before gaining the top
position, I can start as an intern, get an entry-level in corporate leadership
within the first two years, and through my commitment to excellence,
self-discipline, communication skills, and versatile knowledge from the MBA
course, I will be promoted to the chief finance officer (CFO) top position.
Thus, pursuing the MBA program will help me successfully walk through my career
aspirations.
Finally, with the various basic skills and knowledge in financial management, pursuing an MBA in finance will help grow my professionalism and expertise to successfully run an NGO as a CFO and later manage multi-business globally.
