Comprehending the relevance of the ‘first language in second language learning’ is the subject of this essay, which includes some of my opinions and views on second language acquisition. The short subject was highly educational and fascinating, and I learned a lot about language learning throughout it (Billings & Walqui, 2021). Although I agree with the ideals put out, there are a few things I'd want to dispute against. Let's examine the process through which language is learned first. Various main theories guide first language acquisition, each emphasizing the primary goal of learning a language: communicating ideas via a specific linguistic system (Billings & Walqui, 2021). Contrary to popular belief, language learning does not require intensive grammatical awareness or rigorous practice. Being patient is advised since development comes slowly
