2. Complete your paper based on an
observation of students engaged in physical activities (gym/ recess/ dance
class)
3. Observe the children, write
down your observations in Detail and enter them into the journal Based on your
observations Answer:
4. Did all the children display the same
level of physical development? How do you know?
5. How did their physical
abilities/ inabilities affect their other behavior?
6. What physical abilities were necessary for
them to engage in the activity/interaction they were doing?
Question 1;Physical
development entails refinement and improvement of the ability of the children
to control, use, and coordinate their body parts. However, these advancements
occur in different stages, from when children are born to around twelve years
(Erickson et al.). Between 6-12 years, children become independent, able,
confident, and responsible. In addition, children at this age start engaging in
sports such as golf, swimming, tennis, football, and basketball or engage in
crafts, art, and music where they could like one sport or activity over
another, which further helps in enhancing their motor skills (Erickson et al.).
Children can run, dance, slide, climb, and jump. Therefore, at the age of 6-12,
children develop larger, harder, and stronger bones, allowing them to engage in
tough activities involving muscle coordination and control.
