Social development is a critical stage in an
infant's life as it enhances their parents' learning of emotions. In this
stage, the child begins walking, explores their surroundings through touch,
looks, and engages with their caregivers. Social development begins within the
first few months after birth when infants prefer some social stimuli and
display the ability to perceive and act on some of the social cues.
Additionally, there are several mechanisms that underly in the early evolution
of social cognition in infants.
