§ an evaluation of the main drivers of change in organisations, and with reference to two established theories or models, how people might experience change. (AC 2.2)
There are different drivers of change in any organizational setup. As can be noted from the case study, some of the clear change drivers include work climate, failure to achieve set results, and visible loopholes in the organizational system. From the case study, some managers have complained about the working environment, getting less than the desired performance from workers due to attrition and other organizational challenges, and a failure to have the best staff owing to dissatisfaction and competition. These are some examples that clarify the drivers of change earlier mentioned. Nonetheless, still, the scientific management theory by Taylor and the human relations management theory can still well explain how people may experience change. These two theories communicate a similar theme that if one wants the business to thrive in an industry, there is a need to make sure that workers are inspired to achieve by providing them a good working environment, rewards, and many chances to develop as they serve. Such an environment can create the necessary trajectory and speed to institute needed change in an organization (Paais and Pattiruhu, 2020).
a general evaluation of the scale of technology within organisations and the impact this is having on workers and working practices. (AC 1.6)
In the course of world history, technology has always altered how workers in any industry perform their work. Starting from the industrial era to the present day, it has enhanced the conditions of working. Its effect on the working atmosphere has rationalized tiresome and ecologically wasteful procedures accelerated the access to jobs, and at the same time growing productivity, and working remotely much easier (Paais and Pattiruhu, 2020). Today, work can be done easily and faster. Work that was initially challenging to do has been automated, making the work of human beings easier. The working culture in most organizations has also had to change to accommodate the scale of technology in use today. Nonetheless, while there are many positive attributes some workers and even the working practices have been negatively impacted. For instance, technology has witnessed a loss of employment for many people who have had to be declared redundant. These were not envisaged earlier while the technology was created but have sadly come to impact the industry both positively and negatively an explanation of the steps that can be taken to increase inclusion and diversity at work in order to build a positive culture. (AC 2.3) Diversity and inclusion are very essential success factors in every organisation. Various steps exist that can be utilized in enhancing and improving inclusion and diversity in the places of work to establish a positive culture and healthy work environment. The first one is communicating the significance of managing biases. This is achievable by encouraging cultural humility and understanding those from other cultures at their places of work. (Paais and Pattiruhu, 2020). The other is enhancing pay equity. Fair chances and equal opportunities have to be provided to every worker in the organization. Thirdly, all cultures have certain holidays. They must be recognized evenly at the place of work. In addition, mixing up teams is another way of increasing inclusion and diversity as people from different walks of life can collaborate and learn from each other. Moreover, setting a clear employment KPIs and targets to be achieved, in order to have a diverse employees within each unit and department, diversity by gender, nationality, background and age as well.
An assessment of the importance of wellbeing at work and identification of the different factors that can impact wellbeing. (AC 2.5)
Perfect pay, a vacation that is fully paid, and a full benefits package are vital for well-being while at the place of work. Nonetheless, there are many other aspects that organizations need to think about when trying to develop a team that will remain committed and motivated in the long run (Paais and Pattiruhu, 2020). Accordingly, some of the things that impact the well-being of workers include the following. The first one is having a good workplace design that enables the excellent performance of employees. The second is ensuring that the physical comfort and safety of workers are guaranteed for their good cognitive health. The other one is having an inclusionary culture in place where members feel like a family. Stress management models at the place of work are vital for solving any workplace-related stressors that assure workers function at their best. Certainly, the above are not the only things that affect workers' well-being but explain what to look out for.
